Grooming with Heart, Right at Your Doorstep

Full Groom

For pups needing the works, the Full Groom includes everything from a soothing bath and blow-dry to a custom or breed-specific haircut, ear cleaning, and nail trimming. It's a complete grooming experience designed to keep your dog happy, healthy, and stylish.

Bath & Brush

The Bath & Brush service is a great way to freshen your pup with a gentle wash using premium, pet-safe natural products, followed by a blow-dry and de-shed. It’s ideal for the shorter haired shedding pups or those pups getting a bit too dirty. Nails and ear cleaning included.

Bath & Tidy

The Bath & Tidy service is a great way to keep your pup tangle free in between grooms with a gentle wash using premium, pet-safe products, followed by a full brush-out and blow-dry. It’s ideal for keeping coats clean and fluffy between full grooms, or for shedding dogs that need a trim up (no more grinch toes!) without needing a full haircut.

Nail Trimming

I also offer Nail Trimming as a standalone service — quick, careful, and perfect for maintaining healthy paws.

Hi, I’m Gaby — the heart behind Bows n’ Barks. I started this business because I’ve always believed that dogs deserve more than just a basic grooming appointment — they deserve care, comfort, and compassion every step of the way.

Whether your pup is playful, anxious, aging, or just needs some extra TLC, I take the time to understand their unique needs. I bring a calm and gentle approach to every session, treating each dog like one of my own.

With my mobile grooming service, I come to you — so your dog can relax in a familiar environment without the stress of busy salons or cages. It’s just me, your pup, and a peaceful experience at your doorstep.

Why Mobile Grooming?

Mobile in home grooming offers a calm, one-on-one experience that helps your dog feel safe and cared for from start to finish. With no travel, no loud waiting rooms, no cages, less chances of communicable diseases, and ailments such as kennel cough. It can also work well for anxious, senior, or dog reactive pets who need a more peaceful environment.

On the human end, It is also great for those with a busy schedule/work, as after the first meeting and grooming session, it is possible to have your dog groomed at home while you're away from home. You can come home to a clean, groomed dog! It also saves you time and hassle to not be waiting and traveling back and forth to a salon. I bring the salon directly to your doorstep. My fully equipped grooming set up is comfortable for your pets, and designed to deliver professional results — without them ever leaving home.

How much do your grooming services cost?

A full haircut typically starts at $110+ for small breeds. Stand alone nail trims start at $30+ However depending on your dog’s size, coat type, coat condition, behavior and type of haircut will affect the total cost. To get a better idea of cost, please reach out by email with a picture of your dog and relevant information to get a more accurate quote for what services you are requesting. House call is a specialized service involving much more time taken for appointments, a one on one experience for your pup, along with travel, set up and clean up time which is factored into the cost.
What areas do you service?

We currently offer mobile grooming throughout Kelowna and surrounding neighborhoods including Lake Country, Oyama, and West Kelowna. If you're not sure whether I service your area, feel free to reach out!
How does mobile grooming work?

I would come to you and groom your pup (or pups) in your home, bringing all my grooming equipment with me. All I need from you is a towel, broom or vacuum, and a quiet place to groom them with no distractions. This could be a garage, kitchen, bathroom etc. I will also need a sink or tub to bathe your pups in depending on their size, and a location to park nearby while I groom them in your house.
Do you groom all dog breeds and sizes?

My equipment is specialized to work for small to medium-sized dogs. (0-40 pounds approx) This helps us provide a calm, one-on-one experience that's safe and comfortable for your pup. Excessively shedding breeds can also be difficult to accommodate due to the nature of hair getting everywhere during a de-shed treatment, so it is case by case and what you would be comfortable with as a client. If you're unsure whether your dog qualifies, feel free to reach out — I am happy to help!
Do I need to be home during the appointment?

For first-time clients, we ask that someone be present to greet us and help with any specific instructions. After that, we’re happy to work with whatever’s easiest for you and your pet.
What is FearFree® Grooming?

Fear Free® grooming minimizes pets' anxiety by using gentle techniques, positive reinforcement, and a calm environment. It includes desensitization, counterconditioning, and calming aids to help pets relax. Grooming is done at the rate that your pet allows. The goal is to prioritize the pet's emotional well-being for a positive grooming experience. For pets that experience a higher level of stress, your appointment may be broken down into multiple visits so we can work through the anxiety rather then overwhelm your pet. For example, your pet may be booked in one day for a bath and brush and then again with in the following days to complete the hair cut.
How long does a grooming session take?

Each service is one-on-one and tailored to your dog’s needs, so timing may vary. We focus on quality and comfort — not rushing through.
What’s included in a full groom?

A full groom includes a bath, blow-dry, brush out, haircut (if needed), nail trimming, ear cleaning, with lots of gentle care. I always believe in humanity over vanity, and will not excessively de-matt pets as this creates a negative, painful grooming experience. Your pet comfort is my number one priority over a picture perfect haircut.
What kind of products do you use?

We use premium, eco-friendly, and pet-safe grooming products that are gentle on skin and coat such as the Melanie Newman line which is pH-balanced, pet-friendly formula contains no SLS, parabens, petrochemicals, or synthetic perfumes. It's 100% pure and natural. If your dog has allergies or sensitivities, just let us know — we’re happy to accommodate.
How do I book an appointment?

To schedule a grooming session, simply reach out to me through the contact form on the website. Let us know your dog’s breed, size, and the service you're looking for — and we’ll get back to you to confirm if it's a good fit and what times that works best.
Can you groom aggressive dogs/dogs with bite histories?

Due to me being a one women show, unfortunately I am unable to accommodate overly aggressive or fear aggressive dogs for grooming due to their safety and the safety of myself. These dogs usually need vets supervision, or a shop environment with multiple groomers to safely complete the groom.
